Zyprexa is a popular anti-psychotic drug which has been linked to an increased risk of hyperglycemia and diabetes. The risks of Zyprexa injuries were discovered before this drug was even approved for use in the United States in 1996. Pre-marketing clinical trial results indicated that more than one in five participants suffered serious Zyprexa injuries. Two-thirds of all pre-marketing clinical trial participants had to discontinue the study because of Zyprexa related complications. This information was made available to both the FDA and Eli Lilly, the manufacturer of this drug, before it was approved. However, the risk of Zyprexa injuries did not alter decisions made by the government or the drug company. If you or a loved one has been affected by Zyprexa, our experienced pharmaceutical litigation attorneys can help.
